Its that time of year again folks and we all need to be very careful to make sure our children are safe from overheating in a car and dying. NEVER LEAVE A CHILD ALONE IN A CAR is the best rule!
I have already seen two stories from right here in Mississippi that tragically ended in a child’s death. Click here to see a WLOX article about one of the tragedies which also contains helpful life saving tips and facts. A child can over heat and have a heat stroke before you know it. Cars heat up very quickly to intolerably temperatures.
There are different reminders and tips people use to remind themselves about getting children out of car seats when its hot. You may have heard of the “shoe trick” where you put one of your shoes in the back seat so when you step out of the car, and realize you don’t have both shoes and you are forced to check the back seat. This and other methods can be life savers!
